from this week game making its getting better at least I have the ball moving and I finally have an object made to block the goal but for some reason the object wont moving left and right with the coding that I gave it. and the ball doesn't go straight like the way I want it to. the ball just fly's up then goes straight down true the ground in the game. I hope to find a way why the whole thing is not working for me during the next lab class. i spent so much time in unity so i could make this game move like the way that i want but no progress yet now i just need the object to move them ill be on my way and there a few error keep showing up . the object that i made to block the goals This is the ball moving but not the way i would like it too. the object in the goal    

Unity Tutorial 08

For this week unity I decided to do the lesson 4.4 so I could get more knowledge from working on unity instead of doing my game for this lesson. it was not easy because  my coding on the script is still giving me problem. i manage to get the player to spawns with for-loops that keep the control over the number of time using the instantiate method in the game. That really help so I could spawns different enemies  making it fun to operate during this process. so when the player kills one enemies they will not come back. I had to put the increment operator into the script so the for loop can run faster in the server. it was the custom method with parameter that was giving me more stress in unity. when i played it wouldn't keep track of the number of enemies to spawns in the game. i learned that find object of type was grand to use in the game so i could see the number of enemies that in the scene. Now i just need a decent coding so i could move my objects as the enemies in my game so

Week 9 Reading and Writing

 from looking back at all the reading that I did from all the past weeks I learned so much and gain more knowledge about gaming, create a game, and time management skill, mind growth and so much more. when I'm playing or watching video game ill be using all the tips that I learned from the past week from this semester. ill tell you the once that I really enjoy the most is mind growth that about carol Dweck she talk about giving 10 years kids who are coping with challenge and difficulties. she called it the power of yet. most of the studied fail the test because they didn't student. she asked what they would do the next time. they all say they will cheat or even look at the person next to them that got a worse grade then them. that reading made so much sense in my eye because that would be the method that I got when I was a little kid in school.  from the start of this semester i did really understand what was going on with the comment on the blog i only have lots of comment on my introduction with different people in my course giving me a good feedback on how i go around my daily business in collages life. And i never knew that you had to be giving peer comment every week still after the reading week that when everything came to me. and i started keeping up with the peace. I really like commenting on people blog because it gives me more information about there background and were they came from. Plus is show that everyone was struggling hard during the yr 1 semester that give me a relief that i'm not the only one struggling too.  Most of the feedback that i alway give are nice and positive in the end i love to give people praise on their good work for this semester. i don't give any bad feedback when i knows it's all decent work that people are putting in.  For this week game making its still a struggle i'm still trying to look for a way to move the ball into the goals. but now i have the game set up with the barrier that i needed. Now i just have to get an object  to block the goals  and a few more messing around with the game itself. i had to make 4 cube for around the corner of each side and i made the material blue so it would look like a sky. it's coming together real good its just the script that i'm trying to put the right coding in so that it would work in the end.                                                              when getting the barrier together    bird view of the game  how its meant to be on camera 

Unity Tutorial 07

This week unity 4 was so hard like nothing seem to be working for me. i keep get my script messed up with the coding .its just giving me errors when trying to play the game. The player doesn't move or rotate in the direction any more for some reason I'm still trying to get the camera facing the same way. but i learned new thing in this unity like taking some different texture and applying it onto the ball so it can look cool on the eye by dragging and dropping it into the player. Empty game object was fun to used because it control how different thing moved around the unity. And in the player controller scripts i used a reference for the focal point so it could make the movement shape in the game. At the end of the day i had to go asked my peers for help again and They said it's probably just unity acting up on my laptop. Because i spent a good 1hr looking the cap and spelling and i'm seeing not wrong. I just hope the next unity is less stressful and less time consuming

Game Fun

For this week reading we are learning about Game fun it's very interesting from the video i watched there are so much information about the theory of fun. Raph koster say that the fun of a game comes from the ability to provide people space os that they can have the right learning space. This challenges and grabs people attention. I didnt know tic tac toe is a simple game that has dominant solution then this game called goal. it has many permutation this give us more to learn in the game. Aslo fun is a dopamine in the brain that gets you ready to start a task. There so many different types game Raph talks about like Mario thats a reflex based skill game. He quotes that "fun is the feedback the brain give us when we are absorbing pattern for learning". That really got me thinking about how the game is meant to be made. At the end of the reading task i really enjoy more about Game fun now i can't wait to try put this ideas into my game for this semester.  https://www.go

for this week project blog i had to try make a decent start on my game its not the best but it's going to the right  direction. so far i have my plan made on the game. i made the ground for the field with a 3D green mode for the game. i created a materials folder for the shape i'm going to used in this game. i made 3 cylinder, 1 sphere shape from the game object tools bar. it was a bit hard getting the shape to rotate and stretch into a goal post that took me like a good 1hr 30 mins.im just finding it hard to get the script working because it keeps saying its not matching with the unity. i pray that i can make the ball moving into the goal but i don't really know what coding work for that. i want the player to be the ball and so the ball can shot into the posts. and i'm still trying to get a object to block the goals so the player can't win. i think i need to go back to few unity i see if i can get the ball moving as the player and i need to try make a barrier so th

Unity Tutorial 06

 For this week unity its was a lot hard and the time spent was too much for me. but at least i try to get in done. i learned so much in this unity like in the particle systems i played around with some of the numbers so i could give some effect in the game also made the child object to a player in the game so they can be attached to the player. it was the code that really mess me up because i was adding variable like the audio clip and audio source its seem to not be work for me when i press play. i had to keep on reset my unity until it work out. i had a bit more fun playing with the play and sound effect in this lesson it really made this feel like a proper game. I think i need something like this when i'm making my own game later on and i hope it will not take so long like this lesson. i can't wait unto the next unity when i have to rotate around with different focal point in the game because that what troubling me theses day i don't know how to still work the main cam w

 For this week 7 task from reading and watching the video of what is flow theory in a game design its very interesting. there so must thing you need to know about. A flow is a psychological theory that we should adapt in our game to create new challenges so we can engaging and matched for the player skill level in the game. flow can help us make the game better in many place and flow can be used in framework for gameplay that made for human psychology. Flow has many different part to it like presenting the player with a challenge. This will put the player into a flow state but you have to try stay in that flow state. flow state is like being in the zone this can make the player not know were there are for some time. they are too busy in the moment plus no awareness of surrounding. Unity Tutorial 05

For this week unity for (week 6) was very fun to do i had to try make the background move using  more coding for the game and learning new skill for this unity. i had the same problem like i alway had it was the script i just keep getting the code mix up in the process. i had to make a background script so the game can keep moving on and on. i applied the box collider into the script so when the background goes off past the mark so it can reset back to the starting point automatically in the game. i had to put a equal operator into the coding this help me to see if the game had any problem and to make sure it was equal. I also learned use tagging in this unity lesson it was grand enough for the scene to help me to compare the tag to only the thing that was needed to be there. i pray this will help me for my game making soon and i can't wait for the next unity to be started. I'm still not confident around this unity and the time that it take me to try finish it. it just too long

Unity Tutorial 04

 for this week unity 2.4  it was getting a bit more hard for me because of my coding was not working its must  have being the new update in unity. so i had to reset my laptop for a few time until everything was working better. i had to try get the player to jump using the spacebar on the laptop, Get component really help me in this so that the rigidbody for the player will work.  F orce mode. impulse was very useful for me in this process because i didnt have to moving thing by transform translate in the code . i just move the player by applying force this really gave the player more freedom in the game and now the player can jump over obstacle with eas. Gravity modifier was good to use in the game so the player can float nicely, I think the boolean data type was a bit hard to link in because the true was acting up for me for a bit but i just had to go back and watch the video again and see what i type wrong. For this week unity i had to make the framer giving his animal food. it was hard at first because i couldn't get the animal to move at all. until i asked one of my peer they told me its was my sticpt for the player controller. i got the name mix up from the started of the unity. after i went back to put in the right name and spelling on it. Everything work well all the animal were moving nicely. there are new things that i learned for this week unity for example the player can press s so the animals can spawn in the game i had to create a spawn manager script for this process. The array help me to store all of the different animal prefabs. also i used keycodes to be able to spawns the animals together, Random generation really help me with the values for the array and the local vs global variable was important for game because of all the methods inside. Perspective was so helpful in this unity so i could use the projection in the game well and see what was going on in the area of t
